Cast Skull for Memento Mori

This little 1″ skull is part of a larger piece I had in mind.  Originally I wanted to build a pendant, but now I think I’m going to convert it to a money clip for a friend.  The piece was designed as a memento mori and was actually inspired by a casting student who was having some trouble carving a skull.  A memento mori is a reminder of our mortality – usually they read “What you are, I once was; What I am you too will be” But in latin – still not 100% sure what the accurate translation here would be.  I hope to finish the piece within the month, with an etched mechanism with that inscription.  I’ll post new images when I do.
